Loan Watch: Ryan makes bow for Harriers

Update on our players in action elsewhere

30 October 2023

Ryan McLean was thrust into action for his Kidderminster debut at home to Chesterfield at the weekend.

Bottom hosted top in the National League on Saturday and our summer signing, who made headlines by knocking Coventry out of the Carabao Cup, started on this occasion. However, it was a tough afternoon for Ryan, who played for 78 minutes in a 3-1 defeat.

Earlier in the week Ryan got to know his new teammates when he travelled to Altrincham. The winger was among the unused substitutes for a 1-1 draw.

Morgan Williams continues to get vital game time at senior level in the same division.

The attacking midfielder earned rave reviews and was Woking’s man of the match for his performance down the right hand side, in the 1-0 victory at Eastleigh in midweek. The young Welshman completed 86 minutes of that match. Morgan got a further 81 minutes in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at home to Bromley.

Man of the match nominations are stacking up for defender Ben Mason, for his efforts in a Braintree Town shirt in National League South.

The defender earned recognition for his performances in both the 2-0 victory at Hemel Hempstead, and also in the 2-0 defeat in front of a crowd of 3,708 at leaders Yeovil Town at the weekend.

Centre-back Ethan Sutcliffe (pictured above) got off to a winning start with his new club Tonbridge Angels. He came into the starting line-up for his full debut for another long trip to Truro City.

Tonbridge, skippered by Scott Wagstaff, went on to win 2-1. Before that, Ethan came on right at the end of a 4-1 defeat at Farnborough in midweek.

Forward Paris Lock is still working hard to help Dover Athletic pull away from second bottom at the foot of the table, but it proved to be a tough Saturday afternoon for the Academy graduate.

Earlier in the week, he came up with another assist for Zidan Sutherland in the 3-3 draw at Chelmsford City, who had Luke Jenkins and Anthony Wordsworth in their starting line-up. However, several days later, Paris figured for Dover in a 4-0 defeat also at Farnborough.
