Goals. The currency which decides our sport. Hitting the net is what we live for and goalscorers are the ones who crave it.

We’ve been lucky enough to be blessed with some serial scorers over the years gone, with our return to the Football League in 2011 bringing about some new heroes who have written their name into Wimbledon folklore.

The 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons were equally periods of adjustment as we looked to solidify our status as an EFL club once again. Ultimately our survival bid was spearheaded strongly by a man donning the number 10 shirt – Jack Midson.

A journeyman striker, Jack would go on to net some important and memorable goals during his time with the Dons, with 30 league goals across the two aforementioned campaigns helping us over the line.

Clinical from the penalty spot, he is best remembered for his last-gasp penalty which secured League Two survival in 2013, as our supporters invaded the pitch en masse.

Here we take a look at several of the frontman’s best league goals for the Dons from that period, as we kick our series off.

Watch Jack’s collection below – with more to come in the days and weeks ahead as we look back at our highest league scorers from 2012 to 2024!
